Baked Ziti (Crock pot) ====================== Makes 8-10 servings Ingredients: - 1 pound cottage cheese - 2 tablespoon Parmesean Cheese - 1 egg - 1 teaspoon parsley flakes - 1/8 teaspoon pepper - 1/8 teaspoon salt - 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic - 45 oz jar spaghetti sauce, divided - 14 oz jar spaghetti sauce, divided - 1 pound ziti (or penne pasta) uncooked - 1/2 pound mozzarella cheese, grated Instructions: 1) Blend cottage cheese, parmesean cheese, egg, parsley, pepper, sale and garlic together 2) Pour 2 cups spaghetti sauce into greased slow cooker. 3) Drop 1/3 of uncooked ziti over spag. sauce 4) Spoon 1/3 of cottage cheese mixture over the ziti 5) Repease the layers (2-4) two more times. 6) Pour the remaining 1 cup of spag suace over the top 7) Cover, cook on low for 4 hours 8) 30 minutes before end of cooking time, sprinkle the top of ziti mixture with mozz cheese 9) Do not cover and let it cook the remaining 30 minutes 10) Let stand 15 minutes before serving to let everything firm up.
